No Magic Yet March 20, 2014 by Pinko Knitter The knitting is done. The Fiesta Paisley Lace Shawl knitted but unblocked. A close up view of the border and edging. The edging wants to curl under, but once the magic happens, it will lie flat. The magic will follow, as soon as another project vacates my blocking squares. 🙂 AdvertisementShare this:TwitterFacebookEmailPinterestMoreRedditPrintLike this:Like Loading... Related
They do look like little chicks, but they are supposed to be paisleys. Thanks, caityrosey. From now on, when I look at my shawl, I’ll see chicks. 🙂 Reply
Thanks, Janet. The magic that is blocking lace never ceases to amaze me, no matter how many times I’ve done it. Reply
Thank you. I think Evelyn Clark’s designs are fabulous, and I enjoyed knitting this very much, even if I did take some liberties with the original design. Reply
Oh I love it. Are those little chicks on the edges?

Oh so pretty! Blocking magic is one of the things I like most about knitting lace.

It’s already pretty; I can only imagine how stunning it will look blocked!
It will look a lot better when the edging isn’t curled under. 😀
