That’s right. I came, I saw, I kicked ass. My Fair Isle beanie has been successfully completed. This is a picture of it before I washed and blocked it. It’s totally awesome, isn’t it?

I used six colors of Jaggerspun Maine Line in fingering weight, black, graphite (dark gray), shale (medium gray), pewter (light gray), suede (medium brown), and sand (beige).

Thank you, Elizabeth Lovick, for sharing your expertise and your pattern, and for inspiring the likes of me to finally give Fair Isle a shot.

I see a Fair Isle sweater in my future. Oh, and guess what? My husband actually asked me, What makes a Fair Isle hat Fair Isle? And he listened to my answer. Yep, he’s a keeper. ☺
